2010 BMW M3 GTS
Set to come out in May 2010, the M3 GTS will put BMW’s M division back on the map with an impressively engineered street legal race car. A street legal race car with a giant front splitter and an even larger rear wing I might add!
The car has a lightweight bodykit on it based off of BMW’s 320si World Touring Car Championship car, stripped sound deadening from the body panels and a carbon fiber roof that give the car a weight of 3285 pounds. To add to that, the car sports exclusive staggered 19″ alloys wrapped in 225/35 rubber up front and 285/30 in the rear, 6 piston front calipers, 4 piston rear calipers, and an extremely stripped down interior with only racing bucket seats, kill switch, roll cage/6 point harness mounting point and a fire extinguisher in lieu of the air condition and navigation unit.
The drive train will consist of a bored out 4.4L V8 and a 7 speed dual clutch transmission. Although no official ratings have been noted on the powerplant, it is speculated that it will put out in the 450HP range. Although I am a BMW enthusiast myself, I hope that for the price tag of $170,000 before taxes, you can get this in a color other than orange.
